The Antifreeze Valve is designed to provide automatic freeze protection for heat pump and water-based heating systems where pipework may be exposed to low outdoor temperatures.
When the temperature of the water within the circuit approaches approximately 3 degrees C, the valve automatically opens and releases system water. This helps reduce the risk of ice forming within exposed pipework and components, protecting the heating system from potential freezing damage.
The automatic operating design means no electrical power or manual activation is required during normal freeze-protection operation. This makes the valve a practical safety component for heat pump installations and other suitable hydronic heating applications.
